The job role requires the successful candidate to deliver elite physical performance support to First Team players and work collaboratively within a high functioning multi-disciplinary team. The responsibilities include-
* Assisting lead physical performance staff with the delivery of group and individual gym sessions for players in the first team squad.
* Assist with the delivery, live monitoring and appropriate adjustment of field-based training/conditioning sessions.
* Contribute to recovery sessions using evidence-based methods.
* Provide support in the design and implementation of individualised physical development programs across the first team squad, including on and off field protocols.
* Deliver pre-training physical preparation sessions to optimise performance within subsequent training sessions.
* Help to conduct the physical performance testing and monitoring procedures for first team squad players and players in rehab.
* Assist in maintaining up to date records of data collected from testing and strength/power sessions.
* Assist with the organisation and delivery of conditioning and individual sessions for players in rehab.
* Support the collection and analysis of training load data as well as the data used for player profiling.
* Assist with the reporting and communication of data to physical performance staff and the wider multi-disciplinary team.
* Assist with delivery of on-field conditioning sessions where necessary.
* Assist with match day preparation.
Experience Skills and Qualifications
* A minimum of an undergraduate degree in sports science, strength & conditioning or a related field.
* UKSCA accreditation (or working towards).
* Significant experience working within a physical performance department.
* Strong organisational and administrative skills.
* Good work ethic, detail oriented and ability to work well within a team environment.
* Proficient in using Microsoft office and experience of data visualisation software (e.g. Power BI).
* Committed to maintaining high professional standards and enthusiasm to develop in the field of Strength & Conditioning.
* Flexibility to work hours in line with the training and games schedule (may require evening and weekend work).
