We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistant to join a team, supporting students in a dynamic and nurturing environment.
About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant in an SEMH provision, you will play a vital role in supporting students with diverse needs. Your main responsibilities will include:
1. Assisting with classroom activities and educational programs.
2. Providing one-on-one support to students to help them achieve their learning goals.
3. Managing and supporting challenging behaviour in a calm and effective manner.
4. Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to create a positive learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for individuals who are committed to making a positive impact on the lives of students with SEMH needs. The ideal candidate will have:
1. Previous experience working in SEMH, SEN, or a similar educational setting.
2. A high level of resilience and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
4. A genuine passion for supporting and inspiring young people.
Requirements:
1. Relevant experience in an educational or care setting.
2. Strong understanding of SEMH and related behavioural strategies.
3. Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
4. A flexible and adaptable approach to work.
