The role assumes general responsibilities that proactively contribute to Project delivery and design. This includes responsibility for all design of Lighting layouts, small power, containment, LV schematics, transformer sizing, etc.;Lead and assist in the generation of detailed technical specifications, equipment schedules, design markups and layouts etc. Apply general administration and compliance with project requirements for your disciplines.Skills and ExperienceThe Role:Undertake the full suite of electrical technical design, generating design markups and overseeing drawing production for project delivery on a varied array of electrical projects.Strong communicator, participating in design team meetings, design reviews, coordination sessions, and technical workshops.Assist in the production of detailed specifications and schedules to ensure compliance with the applicable standards and industry guides.Complete all relevant designs by completing detailed calculations to meet the relevant statutory, regulatory, industry, and business requirements.Proficient in the use of engineering software tools including, Dialux or Relux, Amtech.Detailed review of specialist supplier packages for compliance with project specifications and applicable industry standards.Knowledge of testing, commissioning and certification of electrical services will be beneficial.Experienced with multi-disciplinary design coordination.Basic drawing production within AutoCAD; Revit would be beneficial.Rail/Train Station experience advantageousQualifications:A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering/Electrical Services Engineering or Building Services Engineering.Experience in electrical project engineering or a similar role.Thorough understanding of electrical systems from a design or construction perspective.Capable of working as part of a team and on own initiative.Good knowledge of the current electrical, fire alarm and emergency lighting standards.Knowledge of key engineering software packages such as Dialux or Relux and Amtech. Navisworks is desirable but not essential.
