The Governing Body of Awel y Mor Primary School wish to appoint an excellent and highly committed Caretaker. The successful candidate will have the attributes needed to undertake the range of duties associated with the post. You must be self-motivated and have the ability to take the initiative to deal with problems as they arise. Good practical skills and pride in your work, as well as good organisational skills and the ability to work with both adults and children, are essential. A flexible approach to working hours is important, which may include weekends and evenings, for which overtime would be paid. An awareness and understanding of Health and Safety policies and procedures would be an advantage but not essential as full training can be arranged.
Neath Port Talbot Council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Our schools are equally committed to ensuring the safety and protection of all children and young people and will take action to safeguard their wellbeing. The recruitment process for this post will be underpinned by rigorous safer recruitment assessment to ensure that children and young people are protected.
This post is subject to an Enhanced DBS and barred list check (child).
