Job Title: Level 2 Teaching Assistant
Location: Littleborough, Lancashire
Salary: £83 - £90 per day (PAYE)
Contract Type: Full-Time
Hours: 8.30 am - 3.30 pm
Job Description: We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team in Littleborough, Lancashire. As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide support to our teaching staff and assist in creating a positive, educational environment that enables our students to reach their full potential. This role necessitates someone with a genuine passion for education and the capacity to inspire and support children with varying educational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the delivery of lesson plans, working closely with the lead teacher to implement instructional activities.
2. Provide particular support for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), ensuring their learning journey is accessible and productive.
3. Facilitate small group activities, encourage student participation and engagement with their learning tasks.
4. Monitor and support the overall progress and development of students within the classroom setting.
5. Assist in the preparation of educational materials needed for effective teaching and learning.
6. Help maintain a clean, orderly, and safe learning environment for all children.
7. Provide feedback to teachers on pupil's progress and potential concerns.
8. Encourage children to act independently as appropriate.
9. Promote inclusion, encouraging pupils to interact with one another and engage in activities.
10. Participate in training and development sessions to improve professional skills and teaching practices.
Requirements:
1. Must hold a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
2. A valid Enhanced DBS on the update service is required.
3. Minimum of 6 months UK-based classroom experience, whether paid or voluntary.
4. Previous experience in working with SEND pupils is essential.
5. Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team of educators.
6. Patient, resilient, and possess a positive attitude towards working with children.
7. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
