What you'll do
The main responsibilities of your job will be:
* Leading operational teams responsible for specific deliverables, managing contractual budgets, processes, and resources to maximise efficiency and cost-effectiveness for the client.
* Implementing business plan objectives to drive the business forward, devising and implementing strategies to enhance operational productivity while maintaining high-quality work.
* Handling commercial and compliance issues, ensuring services comply with relevant regulations and permits, with zero serious incidents, within budgetary controls and adherence to set KPIs.
* Building and maintaining successful working relationships with client representatives and key contractors, adeptly resolving problems quickly and effectively.
* Taking a senior role in managing emergencies and local incidents to minimise impact, cost, and risk to the client.
* Promoting and embodying company values and culture.
* Mentoring and motivating team members, supporting people development initiatives to grow internal talent.
What you'll need
To be successful, you'll need:
* Broad operational and management experience in an industrial or utility environment.
* Good process knowledge in operations and maintenance/water management/compliance.
* Strong interpersonal and people management skills to lead, engage, and motivate your team to perform at their best in a challenging environment.
* Level 5 Leadership or Management Diploma or similar.
* A full driving license, as the role may include working at various sites or locations.
You may be required to participate in a routine management standby function.
