Monitoring and Employment Officer
Duration: Initially 6 months
Hours: 35 hours per week
Rate: £26 umbrella an hour (£20 PAYE an hour)
Lewisham Council are looking for a Monitoring and Employment Officer to join their NEET Team to provide mentoring and employment support for young people aged 16-24 across the borough. As a Monitoring and Employment Officer you will:
1. Provide a comprehensive, effective and integrated, systemically informed mentoring and employability service to support young people resident in Lewisham aged 16-24 who are not in education, employment or training
2. Seek out and work with young residents who are furthest from the labour market and experiencing multiple forms of disadvantage and/or have significant additional support needs
3. Adopt an empathetic and caring approach to help young people
4. Provide a written monthly performance update and forecast of activity and outcomes for upcoming months
Requirements
5. Awareness of and a commitment to Quality of Access and Opportunity in a diverse community
6. Extensive knowledge of the current and developing national context in which Careers Information Advice and Guidance for young adults sits
7. Knowledge of implementing systems to gather and accurately process data
8. Previous experience within a similar role
