As a member of the senior leadership team, you will play a vital role in shaping the financial landscape and driving business success in tandem with operational objectives. Key Responsibilities: A member of the Senior Management Team in driving the strategic decisions of the company and supporting the business in enacting its strategic plan. Providing support to the SMT and MD on corporate governance matters. Responsible for managing the Finance and Admin team, overseeing all finance processes to ensure compliance and efficiency in delivering a commercially focused finance department. Review and management of the internal control process and ensuring compliance across the business. Continually seek methods and practices to minimise financial risk. Have oversight and engagement with commercial contract negotiations where required. Manage company insurance for employees, equipment and premises. Create and refine systems to minimise error and improve profitability and productivity. Responsible for Companies House related matters. Prepare quarterly management accounts information and share with necessary stakeholders. Liaison with external auditors over all matters, management of stock take and external audit. Management of personal tax affairs for the directors submission of self-assessment returns. Oversight of weekly payroll, completion of monthly payroll, P11D submissions and pension contributions for the company employees. Cashflow forecasts and management of company funds. Management of key supplier accounts. Management of debtor and creditor ledgers. Oversight of credit control function and liaison with legal debt collection professionals. Management of all revenue submissions PAYE, UK VAT, RoI VAT, Intrastat, EC Sales, RDCO. Daily reconciliations of all bank accounts. Management of company currency requirements. Management of HR and IT functions of the business. Financial Controller Skills and experience An experienced Financial Controller with at least 3 years in a similar role. Demonstrate leadership and people management skills. Fully qualified ACCA / CIMA / ACA / CMA / CPA. Experience working directly with either agricultural or manufacturing industries. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Commercially aware, an experienced SMT member, comfortable challenging the norm. Experience of taking full ownership of all business finances, from budgeting and forecasting to leading financial costing projects and much more. Ability to analyse, interpret and present financial and commercial data to drive decision making and continuous improvement.
