The OpportunityWe are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Site Manager to join our team for an exciting hotel refurbishment project in Edinburgh, scheduled to start in January 2025. The successful candidate will oversee the mechanical aspects of the build, ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency throughout the duration of the project.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the mechanical installation works for the hotel project, ensuring all work is carried out according to project specifications, regulations, and deadlines.Coordinate and liaise with contractors, sub-contractors, and project stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and effective problem-solving.Supervise mechanical site operations, including HVAC and plumbing.Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting regular site inspections and risk assessments.Provide technical support and resolve on-site issues related to mechanical systems.Monitor and control the progress of mechanical works, ensuring that targets and milestones are met.Oversee quality control, ensuring all mechanical installations meet the required standards and specifications.Prepare and review daily/weekly progress reports for the project management team.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Mechanical Site Manager or in a similar role within construction, particularly in hotel or commercial projects.Strong knowledge of mechanical systems (HVAC and plumbing) and their installation.Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.Strong commitment to health and safety and high-quality standards.Experience with managing project timelines and ensuring delivery within scope and budget.Relevant mechanical or engineering qualifications.
