Full-time and part-time veterinary receptionist job vacancies based between our Dundee, Barnhill, and Arbroath branches.

We currently have vacancies for a full-time veterinary receptionist and a part-time veterinary receptionist.
Our veterinary receptionists provide a front-of-house service to all veterinary clients visiting the practice. Primarily, you will be responsible for greeting patients and their owners when they arrive and making them feel relaxed and welcome. Other duties include:
1. Answering telephone calls
2. Processing payments accurately
3. Scheduling appointments
4. Selling items that may be available behind the counter
5. Performing administrative tasks to assist with the day-to-day running of the practice
Personal qualities should include being a natural communicator and confident engager, with an ability to understand the needs of both humans and animals alike. You must be able to remain calm with clients who may become upset or angered and be empathetic towards situations that will be difficult for pet owners.
Veterinary practices are busy environments that require effective staff to run efficiently; therefore, you should have a methodical working style and be able to prioritize tasks during busy periods.
A driving license is necessary to enable you to work at any of our three branches. As a full-time veterinary receptionist, you can expect to work flexibly.
The full-time role is working Monday – Saturday (39 hrs), including a half day. The part-time position is working Monday, Friday, and Saturday (28.25 hrs).
