We have an exciting new opportunity, driven by our continuing growth at Pavers, for a full-time Supply Chain & Logistics Manager to join our Head Office Stock Movement Department on a permanent basis at our York Head Office. You will be responsible for efficient management of both inbound and outbound logistics operations, optimising supply chain processes, and driving continuous improvement and cost-effectiveness, through your team, supporting the Logistics Lead to meet KPI’s, budgets and the all-important I/O plan. We are looking for a proactive and driven colleague to take on responsibility for streamlining the entire supply chain process, reducing costs, improving efficiency, and enhancing the company's ability to meet customer demands. Our aim is to have a more integrated approach to managing both inbound and outbound logistics. You’ll do this by having strategic ownership to develop and implement freight management strategies, optimise goods in and out processes, managing supplier relationships and performance, implementing process improvements across the supply chain. This role will report into our Logistics Lead and will directly manage the supply chain and logistics team, including Supply Chain Co-Ordinator, a Supply Chain Administrator/Apprentice, and a Logistics Coordinator. Strategic Planning and Execution Implement and manage critical path planning for goods-in, including freight allocations Develop and execute robust freight management strategies Propose and implement process improvements across the supply chain Team leadership and performance management Oversee daily activities of the supply chain and logistics team Conduct regular team meetings, 1-2-1's, and performance reviews Create and monitor team member KPIs with SMART targets Inbound Logistics Management Plan and coordinate weekly intake as per the inbound/outbound unit plan Monitor status of inbound shipments across all sourcing areas and transport modes Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure timely product intake Outbound Logistics Oversight Manage goods-out process for B2B/B2C contracts and company van fleet Address operational challenges across the retail estate Work with warehouse management to identify and resolve bottlenecks Supplier Relationship Management Manage day-to-day aspects of freight contracts and supplier relationships Oversee 3PL relationships, maintaining service level agreements and performance standards Performance Monitoring and Reporting Monitor and report on key inbound and outbound logistics KPIs Prepare weekly performance reports for senior management Budget management and cost optimisation Assist in budget implementation and monitoring Identify and implement cost-saving measures across logistics operations Continuous improvement and innovation Identify areas for efficiency improvements based on team feedback Support the adoption of new technologies to enhance supply chain operations Here’s what we are looking for in a Supply Chain & Logistics Manager: Supply Chain/Logistics Background (Essential) Freight Management Expertise (Essential) Knowledge of inbound/outbound logistics processes (Essential) Team leadership experience with strong communication skills (Essential) Strong data analysis and reporting capabilities including Power BI / Tableau / Excel (Essential) Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to different challenges (Essential) Proven track record of delivering to KPI’s/deliverables (Essential) Highly organised, proactive, and solution oriented (Essential) 3PL experience (Desirable) CIPS/CILT Membership (Desirable) Do you feel this is the role for you?
