What you’ll be doing:
You will be playing a key role in the delivery team focusing on the existing contractual requirements for the FCAS programme, providing insights and challenge to deliver strong performance
Driving financial performance through the CSR (Contract Status Report), Monthly Forecast and Business Planning processes, ensuring expectations are clearly articulated and agreed, and outputs are challenged, considered and communicated appropriately
This role will require identifying, reporting and driving to resolution key opportunities, risks and associated mitigation actions affecting contract performance to ensure best for programme value and margin expansion
Ensure delivery of robust customer reporting to support UK MoD financial planning
You will be working collaboratively with PM, commercial, estimating and partner companies to prepare bid submissions, and engaging with the customer to secure funding in a timely manner
Deputising for the FCAS Delivery Finance Business Partner as required
Your skills and experiences:
Degree or equivalent and qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
Experience in business partnering, bid proposals, project accounting and financial planning & reporting
Strategic mind set with a proven ability to challenge, influence and advocate change in a highly complex and ambiguous context
Experience of customer engagement and working closely with external partners, interacting both face to face and as virtual teams
Strong leadership and management skills, along with the ability to quickly adapt in a fast paced and changing environment
Experience in establishing and driving programme performance

FCAS Delivery team:
You will report to the FCAS Delivery Finance Business Partner and will be working with a team of Finance Business Partners supported by the Project Finance Capability Centre. You will work collaboratively with a network of cross functional contacts within BAE Systems, partner companies and the customer community. This is a senior business partnering role that will place you at the heart of the leadership team, where the scope of the role extends across all business activity, to lead and influence the business and finance teams to drive growth and superior financial performance. This role will give the successful applicant an unparalleled opportunity to acquire knowledge of the UK and BAE Systems strategy and programme to develop the next generation international combat air system and will also provide you with the opportunity to shape the future ways of working within the both the project team and the Finance function.
