Purpose of the Rental Manager role: Our client is looking for a Rental Manager to oversee the operation and development of the UK Rental division, ensuring financial, operational, and compliance goals are met while driving continuous improvement. Main duties and responsibilities of a Rental Manager: Manage the department, providing clear responsibilities and accountability for team members. Train, develop, and support employees to ensure high performance. Oversee recruitment efforts and build a cohesive team. Maintain quality and standards in the workshop. Maintain existing customer relationships and identify opportunities to grow revenue. Secure the maximum amount of revenue for all services provided, including transport and equipment rentals. Ensure accurate billing for damages to equipment caused by customers. Conduct regular customer follow-ups, maintaining accurate records of all interactions and calls. Monitor and improve operational performance to achieve budgeted revenue and meet financial targets. Review departmental progress regularly and implement strategies to enhance profitability. Secure revenue from transport services in line with company charges for deliveries and collections. Ensure compliance with company QHSE standards. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational excellence. Oversee work quality, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards. Experience/knowledge requirements for a Rental Manager: Proven team management experience. Strong organisational and multitasking skills. Ability to make quick, independent decisions under pressure. Comfortable challenging traditional methods to drive innovation. Proactive and solution-oriented with a "can-do" attitude. Resilient, detail-oriented, and capable of working in fast-paced environments. Excellent communication and time management skills.
