Job Description:
We are recruiting for a multi-skilled Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance Engineer for a national recycling company.
You can be biased towards either Mechanical or Electrical maintenance but should have a good understanding of both.
Working within the engineering team, you will need to be comfortable with your mechanical and electrical skills to undertake work independently from time to time.
The plant is currently undergoing investment and expansion.
Hours:
Monday to Friday, 6am to 2pm, working 40 hours a week / 9 hours a day, with a 1 in 3 call-out rota.
Salary:
£46,800 plus Dartford Crossing is covered, Pension, 33 days holiday, and excellent overtime. Overtime is paid at x1.5 after 45 hours and on Saturdays, and x2 on Sundays.
Role and Responsibilities of a Maintenance Engineer:
* PPM & Reactive maintenance
* Undertake machine start-up, working closely with production and hygiene teams
* Manage and own the plant's CMMS system
* Adjust machines to optimize performance
* Fault diagnosis & corrective actions to minimize downtime
* Communicate machine status & performance across shift teams for effective handovers
* Implement continuous improvement (CI) methods to enhance plant performance
Qualifications Required:
* Level 3 Engineering qualification (preferably in a manufacturing environment)
* Engineering/Technical background
* Manufacturing industry experience
