We’re seeking a Pest Control Field Biologist with a life sciences qualification, pest control experience (ideally current), and a passion for applying biological expertise. In this role, you’ll blend fieldwork and scientific analysis to solve pest challenges across the M25 region in a dynamic, client-focused team. Key Responsibilities: Perform detailed field assessments to identify pest species, infestation levels, and environmental factors contributing to pest activity. Design and implement scientifically informed pest control strategies, integrating chemical, biological, and physical methods. Utilize life sciences expertise to study pest biology, life cycles, and ecological interactions to inform treatment plans. Collect and analyze field data (e.g., pest population trends, treatment efficacy) to support evidence-based decision-making. Advise clients on pest prevention techniques, drawing on biological insights to recommend habitat modifications and integrated pest management (IPM) practices. Prepare technical reports and documentation for clients and internal teams, highlighting scientific observations and outcomes. Ensure all pest control activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Collaborate with pest control technicians and management to refine techniques and share biological knowledge. Stay current with advancements in pest control science, entomology, and related fields through ongoing learning. Essential Qualifications & Experience: A degree (or equivalent) in a life sciences discipline (e.g., Biology, Entomology, Ecology, Zoology, or related field). Demonstrable experience in pest control, preferably in a current field-based role. Strong knowledge of pest biology, ecology, and behavior, with the ability to apply this in practical settings. Valid UK driving license (essential for travel to sites just outside the M25). Desirable Skills & Attributes: RSPH Level 2 Award in Pest Management (or equivalent pest control certification). Proficiency in data collection and analysis, with an aptitude for interpreting biological patterns in the field. Excellent observational and problem-solving skills, with a scientific approach to pest management. Clear communication skills to explain complex biological concepts to clients and colleagues. Familiarity with integrated pest management (IPM) principles and sustainable practices. Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions and handle physical tasks (e.g., carrying equipment, accessing hard-to-reach areas).
