As a Finance Operations Director, you consolidate all Thinkproject’s market finance functions to deliver a high-performing in-house service. This role focuses on integrating best practice processes for order-to-cash and purchase-to-pay, ensuring a scalable model supported by the right people, skillsets, and knowledge while leveraging the latest technology.
This will include:
1. Building scalable consistent processes
2. Measure and improve process and data quality
3. Manage external relationships
4. Further optimise technology and automation
5. Service all markets in an efficient and effective way
6. Data quality management
What your day will look like
* Manage and scale the existing Finance Operations organisation, which includes finance and
* Establish globally consistent financial processes
* Continuously review, improve, and implement processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy
* Work with all the Thinkproject markets to transition to consistent scalable processes
* Manage contract commitments and expenditures to ensure global consistency and further optimisation
* Direct reporting to the CFO
* Lead, motivate and manage the Finance Operations team, including hiring, mentoring, and developing staff
* Lead and develop a high-performing team through guidance and coaching
* Collaborate with Functions across the business to support global consistent processes to drive better data, insights and reporting
* Manage global finance transactions including procurement, ledger entries, invoicing, payments, financial queries, planning, and audit support
What you need to fulfill the role
* Minimum 10 years’ experience in senior Finance Leadership roles
* Experience in building Finance Operations teams
* Relevant advanced credentials, Chartered Accountant advantageous
* Ability to transform processes end-to-end
* Motivational, authentic leader
* Proven ability to build and nurture a diverse, respectful and positive team as well as working environment
* Demonstrated ability to work with a Board of Directors
* Intellectual curiosity and big picture thinking with the ability to learn quickly and understand complex business operations
* Accountability with ownership of tasks and projects from start to finish
* Strong attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset
* Exceptional negotiation, communication (verbal and written), analytical, and problem-solving skills
