We are recruiting for a Registered Nurse joining the multidisciplinary team at our West Midlands hospice who will work towards providing holistic, person-centred, end-of-life care, including assessing and understanding the care and support needs of patients and those important to them.

The care and support we provide is highly valued by the people we care for and their loved ones. Right now, one in four people in the UK with a terminal illness do not get the care or support they deserve at the end of their lives.
As a Registered Nurse, you will research and network across the system to understand the wide range of services available to patients and those important to them and work with other providers, supporting the wider system to improve the experience of dying, death, and bereavement.
You will work within relevant legal, ethical, capability and clinical frameworks, the Nursing and Midwifery Council Code and in accordance with Marie Curie policy and procedure.
What we’re looking for:
* Registered Nurse on NMC Register
* Experience in NHS or other relevant care setting, ideally in palliative care.
* Be person-centred and compassionate when caring for the person and those important to them.
* Ability to develop and evaluate care management plans alongside other healthcare professionals that meets the complex needs of the person, and those important to them.
* Proven understanding of the barriers and enablers to good communication and how challenges can be overcome.
* Willing to line manage healthcare assistants.
* Ability to assess Healthcare Assistant clinical skills.
* The ability to co-ordinate care/prioritise patient needs.
* Willing to develop the team alongside Senior Nurses.

Salary: Marie Curie Pay Scale Band 5 (aligned with AFC) £29,970 - £36,483 Pro-rated per annum
Hours/Contract: Permanent/Part time – per your availability; A mix of Day and Night Shifts
Work Schedule: Monday – Sunday (including bank holidays)
Based: Marie Curie West Midlands Hospice, Solihull
