As a Manager for the Children and Young Person’s service you will:
* Play a vital role in the child’s journey through the hospital.
* Be a trusted guide and support to them as well as to their parents or guardians.
* Deliver high quality, clinically effective care as an essential part of our ward team.
* Work with a wide variety of cases which will broaden your skills. You will also work within different specialist areas.
* Be accountable for the operational and clinical management of the CYP service
* Work collaboratively with consultants and a range of stakeholders to drive and develop the CYP service
* Lead and manage a team of specialist nurses to deliver a bespoke service for our patients
* Promote innovation within the service to be responsive to service user needs.
To succeed as a Children and Young Person’s Manager, you will:
* Be NMC qualified and have extensive post registration experience in a children’s ward setting
* Have various levels of post-registration experience – and ideally EPALS, ILS or ALS skills or willingness to undertake further study.
* Experience in Children’s nursing with Adult nursing as an advantage
* Experience of clinical leadership
* Can work well individually and as part of a team
* Can engage and build relationships with external stakeholders
