At Home Instead Manchester Central & Tameside, we support people in our local community to stay at home, where they feel happiest and most comfortable. We are looking for people to visit local clients in Tameside during evenings and weekends. You will visit clients within your local part of Tameside .
Job Description
Shift options are 4:15pm - 9pm or 5:30pm - 10:15pm including alternate weekends. Please note training & meetings take place during the day on weekdays, so we appreciate your flexibility for this.
At Home Instead, we understand that delivering top-quality care can't be done in just 15-minute visits, and no one should feel rushed. That's why we offer a minimum of 1-hour visits, along with appropriate travel time, so you can give your clients the attention they deserve, with mileage reimbursement included. We carefully pair our Care Professionals with clients based on skills, personality, and interests. For all initial visits with new clients, you'll be introduced with the support of a colleague, ensuring you have the opportunity to truly understand your client and their needs.

Responsibilities as a Domiciliary Home Care Assistant:
* Support with household tasks such as tidying, cleaning and laundry.
* Make, or assist to make your client's favourite evening meals.
* Offer companionship and social support, engaging with your client's hobbies and getting to know what they enjoy most.
* Support with personal care tasks such as showering and getting ready for bed.
* Take your client out to places of their choice, e.g. to the local shops.
* Write accurate daily notes and report any concerns as per company procedure.
* Administer medication and record appropriately.
Requirements:
* Experience is not required due to our comprehensive in-house training. However, any previous care experience either professional or personal is an advantage.
* You must have a full driver's licence and your own vehicle .
* You must be reliable and punctual to ensure we can continue to provide an excellent service to our clients.
* Must have a caring, friendly personality and be happy to have a chat.
* Must be available to work at least 3 weekday evenings as well as alternate weekends.
