Long-Term Teachers are thrilled to offer an exciting position at one of our most inspirational special schools in Devon. We are seeking a motivated and adaptable Unqualified Teacher to join their team. This role will involve covering lessons in the absence of the class teacher, as well as providing general classroom support as needed.
The school provides exceptional care and education for students with autism and complex needs across all key stages. Set on a stunning campus surrounded by woodland and near the seaside, it offers a truly unique and supportive environment for both students and staff.

Your role will include:
* Delivering lessons and maintaining a positive learning environment in the absence of the regular teacher
* Supporting the teacher in delivering engaging and tailored lessons to meet students’ individual needs
* Providing general classroom assistance to ensure all students are supported in their learning
* Creating a safe, inclusive and enjoyable learning environment
* Implementing the school’s policies, including safeguarding practices
* Building positive relationships with students and helping to foster a love for learning
We’re looking for someone who:
* Is enthusiastic, flexible and passionate about working with children
* Has excellent communication skills and enjoys being part of a team
* Has previous teaching experience
* Can adapt quickly and manage classroom dynamics effectively
* Is patient, empathetic and committed to supporting students with additional needs
* Is keen to learn and develop new skills to support their role
