We are now inviting applications for the role of a Retailer Profitability Accountant within our Retail Accounts Team. Reporting to the Lead Retail Accountant, this role will be responsible for the completion of retailer specific profitability analysis with the core objective of improving bottom line performance for our retail partners. Key responsibilities of the role include but not limited to: Financial Analysis Analysing financial reports and data including retailers accounts, identifying opportunities for profit improvement Conducting profitability and benchmark review meetings with SuperValu and Centra retailers Prepare an annual retailer profitability report for SuperValu and Centra retailer stores Budgeting and Forecasting of retailer EBITDAR for the total SuperValu and Centra estate Providing relevant & insightful information & analysis to key stakeholders and external retailers Cross Functional Assumes role of Financial Lead for various cost saving workstreams identified for the SuperValu and Centra estates, and driving retailer engagement in same Building and maintaining cross functional relationships with the sales teams, other support functions across Musgrave as well as with retailers Proactively share best practice across all retailers including the Company owned and operated team Promote cost awareness, saving opportunities and a continuous improvement culture throughout the business, through regular engagement and a strong focus on costs Support of Retail Accounting Function Preparation of retailer financial projections Building and maintaining financial planning models Financial assessment of capital investment proposals for franchise stores Ad-Hoc Project work The successful candidate will have the following skills and qualifications: Newly Qualified Chartered Accountant, ACCA or CIMA Financial analysis and interpretation experience Logical, thorough and tenacious in approach to work with excellent attention to detail Excellent analytical mindset and highly numeric Proficiency in use of Microsoft Excel Have excellent influencing, communication and interpersonal skills Commercial experience Likes to work cross functionally Good organisational and time management skills Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines Full Driving Licence Musgrave is an equal opportunities employer.
