Detailed Draughtsperson
Location: Gwent
Hours: Monday to Thursday 07:30–16:00, Friday 07:30–12:00 (30-minute unpaid lunch break)

Role Overview
As a Detailed Draughtsperson, you will create precise technical drawings and material profiles for manufacturing, ensuring they meet industry standards and project specifications. You’ll play a key role in the production process, collaborating with project teams and ensuring designs are executed to the highest quality.
Your expertise in materials handling equipment—such as screw conveyors, mixers, and feeders—combined with your knowledge of fabrication, welding, and machining processes, will be essential. Proficiency in 2D drawing is required, with 3D design and P&ID interpretation skills being advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
* Translate contract specifications into accurate, regulation-compliant technical drawings.
* Produce 2D general arrangement and detailed manufacturing drawings of exceptional quality.
* Develop sheet and plate profiles for CNC laser cutting.
* Create bills of materials and source required components to ensure timely manufacturing.
* Liaise with sales, project managers, and other departments to align on requirements and timelines.
* Participate in project review meetings to ensure designs meet deadlines and client expectations.
* Continuously seek opportunities to improve cost efficiency and production processes.
* Support the development of new, innovative products to expand the company's range.
Qualifications/Experience:
* Background in mechanical engineering (HNC-level qualification or relevant experience).
* Solid knowledge of fabrication, welding, and machining processes.
* Familiarity with materials handling equipment, including conveyors, feeders, and mixers.
* Strong 2D draughting skills (3D design experience is a plus).
* Experience interpreting P&ID drawings is desirable.
