Education, Learning and Organisation Development Receptionist

We are looking for a professional and welcoming receptionist to be the first contact for visitors to the site. You will manage enquiries, take messages, book rooms and parking spaces, and provide administrative support, including maintaining records, supporting training events, and organising building access.

Main duties of the job
1. Greet visitors and manage enquiries.
2. Relay messages and assist team members.
3. Book rooms and car parking spaces for visitors, confirming arrangements.
4. Prepare training rooms and assist with AV setups and refreshments.
5. Unlock building and deactivate alarms.
6. Advise visitors on building access and facilities.
7. Maintain logs for maintenance/repairs and assist with reporting issues.
8. Update and maintain filing systems.
9. Submit and monitor stationary orders.

Qualifications and Training
* Educated to GCSE standard including English and Mathematics, or equivalent
* Recognised qualification in business admin e.g. NVQ 2, or equivalent experience
Experience
* Experience of working in a fast-paced, varied and busy role
* Experience of answering queries confidently, directing people as necessary
* Experience of working with electronic systems and processes
Knowledge & Skills
* Excellent communication skills including a confident telephone manner
* IT literate with good knowledge of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel, and email systems
* Good time management skills with the ability to prioritise work according to deadlines
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
* To demonstrate an understanding of GDPR / Data Protection Act
