ICT Teacher required for a secondary school in Bridgend.
Your new school
Hays are offering a long-term ICT teacher role at a large secondary school in Bridgend with a mixed intake of pupils. Due to a long-term absence in the ICT department, the school are looking to hire for a teacher of ICT and Computer Science. The leadership team have a strong vision which is communicated well throughout the school to create a welcoming and inclusive ethos.
Your new role
You will work as a part of a successful department and will be responsible for:
1. Teaching KS3 and KS4 ICT as well as KS5 Computer Science.
2. Full planning, preparation and assessment duties.
3. Actively taking part in departmental meetings.
4. Pastoral duties including parent's evenings.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified teacher, and you will have previous experience of within a secondary school or college or have completed a PGCE in ICT or Computer Science.
5. Previous experience of delivering ICT or Computer Science.
6. Hold a valid PGCE.
7. Hold a valid DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.
8. A commitment to safeguarding and wellbeing of pupils.
9. Up to date EWC registration.
