Servomex has a vacancy for a Material Coordinator to support the logistics and order fulfilment processes of the team by receiving material into the business, dealing with it promptly and ensuring accuracy at each stage. This role also requires packing finished products for shipment. The role will involve using SAP or a similar ERP system so experience of this will be needed. Servomex is looking for an individual who works well in a team with a committed, proactive approach to delivering a high standard of work with a keen eye for detail, someone who is able to work collaboratively across the business. The role is a mix of hands-on activities alongside systems-based work.
Key Responsibilities will be:
1. Physical receipt of material into the business and updating the business system accordingly
2. Delivery of material to storage or usage location
3. Replenishment of Kanban systems
4. Pre-use cleaning of materials as required
5. Packing goods for shipment
6. Ordering packaging materials as required and maintaining the correct levels of packing inventory
7. Completion of cycle counts for perpetual inventory counting
8. Compliance with all regulatory requirements
9. Contribute to continuous improvement of material management or process improvements
10. Any other activities which may sustain or improve the performance of Operations as a whole
Essential Skills and Experience:
1. Experience in a similar logistics/handler role
2. Experience of working with SAP or similar ERP system and proficient with computer packages
3. Exposure of working within a manufacturing/warehouse environment
4. Packing and shipping within a similar environment
5. Attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping
6. Excellent organisational and communication skills
7. Adaptable and flexible to undertake a range of responsibilities
8. Motivated, self-starter with a great team spirit
9. Extremely numerate and literate - with an excellent eye for detail
10. Experience and knowledge of Lean manufacturing techniques and implementing Lean projects would be a distinct advantage
11. Forklift trained would be desirable
12. GCSE (or equivalent) Grade 4 or above in English, Maths and Science or ONC (or equivalent) in Science, Maths, technology subjects
