Hiring: Practice Manager - Learning Disabilities Team

Pay Rate: £40 per hour

About the Role:
Newham Council is looking for an experienced Practice Manager to provide professional leadership for Social Workers and Occupational Therapists within Adult Social Care. You will play a key role in supporting the Team Manager and Group Managers in delivering high-quality services, ensuring best value, and promoting choice and control for service users.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Professional Oversight: Provide leadership, supervision, and guidance to Social Work/OT staff, ensuring best practices in assessment and care management.
2. Service Development: Support the planning, delivery, and performance monitoring of adult social care services, ensuring compliance with national legislation and local policies.
3. Resource Management: Work with managers to efficiently allocate resources without compromising service quality.
4. Mentoring & Coaching: Provide consultancy, coaching, and development to students, Social Workers, and OTs, ensuring they meet eligibility criteria and best practice standards.
5. Safeguarding & Compliance: Ensure processes, policies, and procedures are effectively implemented to deliver safe and integrated services.
6. Stakeholder Engagement: Promote positive relationships with internal and external partners while seeking opportunities for service growth and development.
Requirements:
1. Qualified Social Worker / OT with Social Work England registration.
2. Strong experience in leadership, mentoring, and service development within Adult Social Care.
3. Knowledge of care management, safeguarding, and resource allocation in a local authority setting.
4. Ability to work strategically and operationally, ensuring high standards of service delivery.
