We have a fantastic opportunity for a Small Animal Vet at Castle Veterinary Surgeons, based across a minimum of two sites in Barnard Castle and Bishop Auckland, Co Durham.
Our role and who are we? We are a 7 Vet, 13 RVN team. We have a real focus on each other's progression and development and work to delivering gold standard care. One of our vets has a certificate and one is working towards a surgery certificate. A clinical Practice Manager that has been with the practice for 20 years will also support you.
Our team has a wide range of experience and interests and we would encourage you in pursuit of your own goals, whether that be as a fabulous GP vet or working towards a certificate. Between us, we have various certificate holders, a CertAVP in progress as well as some other areas of interest including exotics and behaviour.
You will enjoy working in a caring, supportive, friendly environment where we all pull together. Our team's health & wellbeing matters, and we believe in working flexibly, sharing the load and we listen!
We value fostering mutually beneficial relationships and you will be joining a forward-thinking team located in modern well-equipped practices. You will have access to a wealth of support including a regional clinical lead, Vet Oracle and a Telemedicine service, a supportive Regional Director and other services such as HR/ER.
About the practice: We have 2 main sites in Barnard Castle and Bishop Auckland. Barnard Castle is in a lovely rural market town, however, close to good transport links and the cities of Durham and Newcastle. Our site in Bishop Auckland is a recent relocation, which has 2 theatres, dental suite and 5 consulting rooms. We have some great new equipment including lap spay kit and dental x-ray. The Lake District is easily accessible via a very scenic trip over the A66.
We strive on building a positive culture within our teams and creating a network of practices that can grow from both internal and external collaboration within the region and company.
