Job Opportunity: Procurement Supervisor at Suttons International Location: Widnes (Hybrid) Salary: £32-35k Suttons International is a family-owned global logistics business, seeking a Procurement Supervisor to join our Head Office in Widnes. The Role The Procurement Support Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day support activities of the Procurement Department and lead the Support team. They will also work with management and support staff to assess and improve processes and enhance efficiency of the department. Key Accountabilities Accountable for the management of Support team members, motivating, coaching and training where required to ensure departmental Service level agreement are met (SLAs) Responsible for managing and maintaining departmental databases Monitor and report changes in costs to the vendor databases and ensure that the relevant departments are updated. Monitor and report of departmental KPIs to ensure that the required standards are being met. Develop good working relations with the key stakeholders in the cross-functional teams. Identify gaps within the vendor database and ensure that they are closed in a timely manner. Responsible for ensuring the integrity and accuracy of vendor database. Ensure effective communication are maintained between Procurement and their key stakeholders. Provide Procurement tender support to the Procurement Team Continually review the suppliers list currently being used and notify SRM (Supplier relationship manager) when non-optimal suppliers are being engaged. Responsible for producing the monthly spend reports. Sign shipping line contract amendments Work with Finance to review supplier invoices that cannot be processed and undertake root cause analysis and take appropriate action to avoid a repeat of the errors in the future Attend the weekly Procurement L10 Provide cover and assistance to Procurement colleagues when required Skills & Experience Ideally has previously held a supervisory position within a multinational company for at least 12 months, possibly within a procurement or finance department. An understanding of international transport or logistics would be helpful. Has proven experience in managing a team responsible for maintaining systems within an administrative function. ? High level, demonstrable expertise with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel (to intermediate/advanced level), Internet software, email and/or database software preferred. Microsoft Office skills are required.
