We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Acoustic Consultant to join our close-knit, inclusive and dynamic team in one of three UK offices (Bristol, London or Maidenhead). This role can be worked flexibly with a minimum 3 days in the office or on site a week. What does the role involve? This role is ideal for individuals looking to continue their career in acoustics. Working within our Acoustic Team you will work on a variety of projects at the forefront of sustainable development to acoustic assessments for key Buildings, Environmental, Infrastructure, AV and Energy projects in the UK and abroad gaining hands-on experience and valuable insights into the world of acoustic design. By joining Sweco you will be part of the team of talented and enthusiastic acousticians. You will help plan and design the communities and cities of the future, and help our customers produce sustainable and efficient buildings and infrastructure. To be successful in this role you ll possess: A degree in acoustics or similar, or suitable alternative education (e.g. IoA Diploma) An Associate or Corporate Membership of the Institute of Acoustics (AMIOA or MIOA). Experience in Acoustic Consultancy; Environmental, Infrastructure and Architectural/Building Acoustics will be considered. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage and prioritise multiple projects effectively. Be adaptable and resourceful in addressing unforeseen circumstances. Understand the need for accuracy and detail in all aspects of the role. A full driving licence is essential as UK-wide travel should be expected. Skills that would help you be successful: Experience in acoustic site work, including noise and vibration surveys and sound insulation testing. Competent in the use of noise modelling software such as Cadna/A, Odeon, INSUL, CATT and EASE. Keen interest in personal development. Experience in maintaining a good working relationship with colleagues and external customers. Competent in the use of sound and vibration level meters. Knowledge and understanding of the standards, regulations and methodologies related to acoustic consultancy. What s in it for you?
