An influential, leading UK fire assessment company are now seeking a confident and experienced Fire Risk Assessor to join them and support them on a variety of projects across the UK, travel across the UK is required for this role.
The Fire Risk Assessor
1. Level 4 qualification in Fire Risk Assessment or Fire Safety Management
2. Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH Fire Safety and Risk Management.
3. 3+ years experience
4. Approved validator with the BAFE SP-1 scheme or willing to work towards achieving this.
Desirable
5. A degree in Fire Engineering, Fire Safety, Fire Risk Management, or a related discipline.
6. Tier 3 status with the IFSM or equivalent or working towards.
The Fire Risk Assessor Role and Responsibilities
7. As the fire risk assessor you will be required to deliver concise and high-quality fire risk assessments across various sectors, including: Commercial, Healthcare, Retail and complex buildings.
8. Must have experience outside of the residential sector, and be a minimum of Tier 2 accredited.
9. Ability to write concise, technical reports
10. Support the Fire Risk Services (FRS) section by handling initial enquiries, participating in pre-meetings, determining the scope of work, developing detailed project briefs, and preparing presentations for clients and stakeholders.
11. Perform validation, verification, and Quality Assurance (QA) of technical reports, addressing and resolving any related queries.
12. Collaborate with the publications department by reviewing draft publications and preparing technical articles for journals
13. Assist trainers with their knowledge gaps to enhance overall content quality and accuracy.
14. Assist the Marketing departments in developing propositions and strategies for Fire Risk Services and Fire Advisory Services.
15. In-depth understanding of fire safety regulations, codes, and best practices, with experience in ensuring compliance in various environments.
16. High level of attention to detail in all aspects of work; ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in risk assessments and reports.
