Senior Quality Assurance Officer - COMAH/Chemical Industry
Location: West Bromwich.
Salary: £28k - £32k p/a. DOE
Hours: 36.25 hour week (Monday-Friday).
I am pleased to be recruiting for this outstanding client of mine based in West Bromwich.
They are one of the UK’s largest Chemical Manufacturers and an opportunity has arisen in the Quality Department for a full-time Senior Quality Assurance Officer reporting directly to the Quality Assurance Systems Manager.
Responsibilities include:
1. Maintenance, support, and continual development of company QMS to meet operational and regulatory requirements with cross-functional teams to progress and implement new systems and processes.
2. Assist Quality Manager in all aspects of Quality Assurance.
3. Coordinate and support CAPA meetings with various departments to progress and close out CAPAs.
4. Lead and/or contribute to complaints/deviation investigations, root cause analysis, and report writing.
5. Maintain the QMS audit process and complete internal QMS audits across the site.
6. Development of policies, standards, and procedures.
7. Management of Supplier Appraisal Systems across the supply chain and effective resolution of non-conformities.
8. Management of the company Kosher accreditation.
9. Administration of electronic document control system data handling.
10. Providing training on company processes and procedures to all employees.
11. Audit guide for on-site 3rd party audits.
Skills and Experience:
1. Minimum 3 years of Quality Assurance experience working in a chemical industry environment.
2. Knowledge and practical application of QMS systems - e.g. ISO 9001.
3. Knowledge and experience of conducting investigations, root cause analysis, and report writing.
4. Experience working within ISO 9001 administration, of which some part should be in a technical environment.
5. Must be able to use various computerized systems with confidence (Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Document Management Systems, etc).
6. Educated to minimum 'A' level standard or equivalent in a technical subject.
7. Experience of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
8. Experience of Computer-based systems - e.g. Q-Pulse, SAGE X3.
