The Maintenance Technician (3rd shift) works independently and with other plant personnel to perform preventive, predictive and routine maintenance tasks to ensure equipment and building fully operational.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Perform needed maintenance on equipment and direct support of production operating needs.
* Evaluate equipment operation and suggest necessary action when malfunctions occur, or improvements are needed.
* Participate in planning activities and manage various plant utilities that can include chiller, air compressor, security system & fire protection system.
* Complete process and preventive maintenance work orders. Capture and communicate associated data.
* Maintain plant machinery and equipment such as mixers, conveyors, compressors, hydraulics, motors, pneumatics, automated controls, and pumps.
* Troubleshoot issues, repair failures of production and facilities equipment.
* Develop knowledge of electrical and PLC troubleshooting.
* Repair or replace control devices such as switches, photo eyes, proximity sensors, pushbuttons, contactors, motor starters, etc. as needed.
* Set up and operate power tools, drill motor, circular saw, welders, drill press, bench grinder, band saw, hand tools and other metal working equipment.
* Assist with fabrication and modification of new and existing equipment.
* Comply and participate in regulatory, Carlisle, & departmental policies, procedures, & standards (PSM, safety protocols, COS).
* As directed, execute projects on an as-needed basis.
* Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities/Knowledge:
* Ability to read and interpret industrial documents and electrical drawings.
* Industrial mechanical troubleshooting skills.
* Ability to repair/rebuild industrial machinery such as motors, compressors, pumps, gear boxes, hydraulics, etc.
* Knowledge of CMMS, SAP, SAPi, MS programs.
* Demonstrated ability to utilize hand tools (shop tools).
* Ability to fabricate/weld.
* Awareness of PLCs, low and high electrical voltage, and 24 VDC – 480 VAC.

Education and Experience:
* High School Diploma or GED equivalent, technical school preferred.
* Experience working as a technician in an industrial manufacturing environment.
* Technical military specialties considered.
Equipment Used:
* Machine shop equipment (saw, drill press, lathe, grinder, welding).
* Computer systems (CMMS, SAP, MS programs).
Working Conditions:
* Activities occur inside an insulation manufacturing facility. Job includes but are not limited to exposure to the following:
* Temperatures exposed to both ambient/outside temperatures.
* Nuisance dust, use of chemicals, working with mechanical parts, pinch points.
* Noise of industrial machinery.
* Typically, 40 hour per week with overtime as required.
* Days/shift vary based on facility need.
* Fast-paced 24/7 operation.
Travel Requirement:
