Machine Setter
Our client specialises in Printed Packaging, Packing and Assembly, Innovation and Consultancy. Specialising in Pharmaceutical, Medical Devices, Diagnostics and Nutraceuticals
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Jos Specification
1. Working as part of a packing team, to change over, set up and operate all relevant equipment and machinery in relation to the automatic packaging lines at Chester Medical Solutions
2. To comply with all GMP, health and safety procedures and all procedures, relating to production operations at Chester Medical Solutions
3. To complete all equipment and machine change overs. To assist the line leader in any other activities required to complete a full or part change over
4. Through “right first time” machine and equipment set up, work towards no machine down time due to set up or operational error
5. Through “right first time” machine and equipment set up, work towards no product quality failures due to set up or operational error
6. To comply with GMP by constantly working to all relevant written procedures, especially in relation to the completion of machine logs, downtime sheets, equipment set up and operation procedures, equipment cleaning and final pack quality
7. To ensure that all equipment and machine activities are carried out, in compliance with safety procedures or work instructions. To constantly challenge and report any unsafe working practises by completion of a “near miss” report form and liaison with the area representative of employee safety
8. To exercise due care and attention when receiving, handling, transporting & storage of any tooling and equipment. To take particular care not to cause damage to tooling and equipment when setting up or stripping down the equipment
9. Through “right first time” set up and operation of the equipment to reduce the % materials waste per job to an acceptable pre-agreed minimum
Essential experience requirements:
10. At least 1 years’ experience as a Machine Setter or similar role.
11. No qualifications required
12. On job training given

14. Experience in automatic blister packaging lines preferable
15. Flexible approach to working
16. GMP knowledge/experience preferable
17. Willing to work shifts, if required
18. Accurate completion of documentation
19. Computer literate
20. Articulate with good literacy/numerical skills
21. Well-presented
Experienced in working within controlled environments
22. Self-motivated
23. Suitable engineering qualification
24. Able to work with minimum supervision
25. High energy levels
26. Uses own initiative to solve problems
27. Flexible approach to working
Shifts – Rotation 6-2/2-10
Employment Type – Permanent
Salary - £29,016k per annum
Location: Bromborough
