Your new role
* Experience of working in a Regulatory and Compliance role within an FCA regulated business. Demonstration of this experience and knowledge of compliance practices is key.
* The ability to provide consistent advice, guidance and training to a range of stakeholders across the Group.
* Ability to understand, interpret and apply regulatory standards into practical solutions.
* Ability to build strong relationships across the Group, with strong communication skills across a variety of audiences.
* Attention to detail ensuring accuracy in data and in the advice provided to the Group.
* A collaborative approach to ensure commercial yet compliant solutions are applied to Group changes.
* Good Project management skills.
* Effective leadership, communication, and people skills, capable of fostering a culture of compliance and ethical behaviour.
* A knowledge of Data Protection regulations would be preferred but not essential.
* Strong data analytical skills to review, understand and provide data to the business.
What you'll be doing
* Supports the Group Head of Risk and Compliance in delivery of the Compliance strategy and key operational deliverables within the team.
* Works with key stakeholders in the Senior Leadership team and managers to deliver business objectives with a pragmatic and commercial lens.
* Monitors FCA and data protection compliance and regulatory changes and implements across the Group, including the creation of regulatory training.
* Requirement to ensure that regulatory compliance learning modules are kept up to date.
* Works closely with peers in the Group Risk and Compliance team to foster collaboration, learning and knowledge sharing.
* Deputises for the Group Head of Compliance and Risk in relation to their Compliance accountabilities.
* Uses data to give a clear narrative in the Conduct Risk Committees and supports the Head of Compliance and Risk in finalising high quality and accurate reporting.
* Works with, influences and advises Senior Leadership on how to align business strategies with regulatory requirements, ensuring that growth and innovation occur within a compliant framework.
* Anticipates and actively engages in business initiatives to ensure compliance requirements are pro-actively considered.
* Works with the Compliance Assurance team to continuously improve compliance monitoring and control systems to ensure continuing compliance, cost effectiveness and timeliness.
* Provides suitable advice to the Group to support sustainable growth compliant with regulatory obligations.
* Ensure that conduct and regulatory risks are appropriately evaluated and escalated to deliver the right customer and operational outcomes.
* Responsible for coordinating the Conduct Risk Committees and Governance and Risk Committee including the distribution of the papers in a timely manner.
* Support the Group with meeting its obligations with Anti-bribery regulations.
