Lead, manage and coordinate projects as assigned ensuring all aspects of Quality, Environment, & Health and Safety (QEHS), programme, budget, logistics, resource, planning, finance and customer relationships are delivered and meet the contracted requirements and scope. Matrix Management of the Project Team will be required. What you’ll do: Office & customer site-based work as required to ensure project delivery to quality, safety, and environmental standards within specified timescales and to budget, in accordance with Telent and client QEHS procedures. Develop project delivery and reporting processes to ensure delivery of assigned projects in accordance with Telent, client QEHS and contractual processes, including regular review and checks. Implement consistent governance and controls to report project Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) to key stakeholders, highlighting and managing all risks & issues and their mitigations throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring the successful end to end delivery of allocated projects. Provide day to day management and direction and support to the assigned Project Delivery Team, providing regular and effective communication and prioritisation. Solving complex problems and take a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions. Utilise industry best practices, techniques, standards and Project Management tools to optimise project delivery. Identify areas for improvement in project performance to drive continuous improvement. Act as a key stakeholder in managing Business Change. Act as the customer interface for Telent for the allocated project. Manage and coordinate the installation and commissioning of specified products and/or services. Correct implementation and communication of the Client, and Telent QEHS procedures, which includes Telent staff and sub-contractors assigned to the project. Lead all aspects of project delivery. Determining and defining client project scope and objectives. Creation and ongoing management of the Project Execution/Mobilisation Plan(s). Creating and ensuring ongoing management of the Project Plan. Ensure adequate and competent staff are identified and assigned (internal and external). Financial performance of assigned projects, including monitoring and reporting through designated systems and responsible for managing projects Profit and Loss accounts Ensure material orders are placed on time and within the agreed budget. Control of logistics plan to meet the delivery programme. Production of standard project documentation and maintenance on designated system. Management of change control as specified and ensure change events are recorded and submitted to the customer. Undertake regular Site Safety Inspections on specified project(s) as per the project inspection calendar set by the Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Manager. Management of site handovers. Set up stage gate meetings such as project kick off meetings, project gate reviews (design, start on construction), project close out sessions as defined in the Project Execution/Mobilisation Plan. Present the monthly contract review paperwork to senior management on allocated projects. Implement Telent Principal Contractor (PC) License. Providing support to bid submissions including Project Plans, Risks, Actions, Issues, Decisions (RAID) log and method statement responses as required. Encourages and ensures collaboration with Project Stakeholders Manage direct reports in line with HR policies, procedures and business processes Who you are: Key requirements: Bachelor's Degree in a Technical or Project Management related field or equivalent experience. Formal PM Qualification (APM, PMP, Prince 2) or equivalent experience. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft packages Strong people management and leadership skills Excellent presentation skills Demonstrable experience of project management within complex projects, using project management tools and related technology Working knowledge of Health and Safety regulations Excellent knowledge of Profit & Loss accounts and cash flow forecasting Ability to operate with no supervision in a complex environment Excellent time management Experience of managing complex customer and end user relationships Excellent financial and commercial experience of managing multi-million project budgets Working knowledge of Document Management Systems IOSH Managing safely Working Knowledge of CDM Experience of multi-disciplined national projects Educated to degree level or equivalent capability by experience What we offer: A career at Telent can span sectors, roles, technologies, and customers giving you the opportunity to develop, learn new skills and make an impact.
