We are looking for someone with previous experience in working on Highway schemes and will ideally be located close to the M25. This role will be working days or nights depending on the project and occasional weekends.
Key Responsibilities
1. Setting out using total stations, GPS equipment, and to be able to undertake traditional setting out using profiles, batter rail and pegs.
2. Read and review construction drawings.
3. Undertake basic take-offs.
4. Raising technical queries with designers and other members of the client team.
5. Have a good commercial understanding and know the difference between cost and value.
6. Carry out relevant inspections and testing to ensure conformance of the works with the design and specification.
7. Ensure all work complies with quality, safety and environmental policies and the requirements of the company procedures.

Skills Required
The ideal candidate must have a good understanding of ITPs and quality assurance process and working with specification documents. You should have good leadership skills and understanding of construction practices and be able to work independently.
You will have a minimum of 2 years setting out experience working on infrastructure projects preferably with Highways with a main contractor. Must also have a CSCS card in the appropriate discipline and ideally educated with a Civil Engineering degree or equivalent.
You will have a SSTS card, First Aid and NRWSA and Cat and Genny.
Due to the nature of the role a full UK driving license is essential and the successful candidate will be happy to travel across the region.
A First Aid at Work qualification would also be desirable.
