Responsibilities:
As an Electrical Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for managing all electrical works and functions across our client's site. Your main responsibilities will include:
Working on a shift basis to cover the electrical operations requirements of a heavy engineering plant
Conducting electrical maintenance of motors, drives, PLC systems, and cranes
Performing fault finding on electronic cards and conducting necessary repairs
Monitoring and maintaining furnace control systems
Reacting to breakdown requirements and quickly identifying faults to minimise production impact
Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):
Education to H.N.C. Level in an Electrical Engineering discipline
Basic understanding of P.C. based software, such as Excel
Ability to interpret electrical drawings
Experience in writing reports detailing shift activities
Familiarity with safety legislation and electrical maintenance procedures
Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):
Experience with ABB and Allen Bradley PLC systems
Knowledge of heavy industry operations and processes
Technologies:
Strong understanding of electrical systems, motors, and drives
Proficiency in PLC systems, including programming tools
