Are you a passionate, qualified teacher with experience or an interest in working with students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? We’re looking for an enthusiastic SEND Teacher to join our supportive team in Ashington for a full-time temporary role. What you’ll do: Plan and deliver tailored, engaging lessons for students with SEND, ensuring they have the support they need to reach their full potential. Adapt teaching methods to suit a wide range of learning styles and individual needs, using a variety of tools and resources. Monitor and assess progress, adjusting teaching strategies to promote the best outcomes for each student. Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, the SENCO, and other staff to create and implement personalized learning plans. Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported in their learning journey. Engage with parents and carers to ensure a consistent approach and support for students both in school and at home. What we’re looking for: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Experience working with students with SEND is highly desirable, but a genuine passion for SEND education is a must. An adaptable, creative, and patient approach to teaching, with a strong commitment to meeting the individual needs of students. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with students, colleagues, and parents. The ability to create and maintain a positive, nurturing environment that encourages student engagement and progress. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage and plan for students with a range of abilities.
