Rougham Acorns and Woodlands is a rural village preschool, set behind the primary school surrounded by countryside. We have been established since the mid 1990’s. We can take 24 children per session including wrap around care and holiday club, and follow a ratio of 1-4 for 2 years and 1-8 for 3 years. Our ethos is that the children in our care learn through play, and with support will build resilience, confidence and independence. We have a magnificent garden that lends itself to lots of stimulating play for the children. We offer the children the opportunity of free flow play to fuel their creativity and imaginative thinking, come all weathers. We are currently looking to employ an experienced practitioner ideally Level 2 to work one-to-one with a child with Special Educational Needs who attends Acorns and Woodlands Preschool. This is a temporary position until 22 July 2025. The hours are for a fixed term contract of up to 30 hours, between the hours of 8.50am and 2.50pm Monday to Friday, term time only. Duties will include: following set targets supporting the child’s needs at a one-to-one level liaising with carers, SENCo and other professionals and to be available to attend PEP meetings keeping records up to date, including I.E.P.’s building a solid relationship with the child and your care. You will have previous experience working with children with SEN and experience with Early Years settings have sufficient knowledge of how to implement targets and routines. To be able to carry out sessions for the child and plan these each day EYFS curriculum knowledge be confident and assertive within the role.
