Our client, operating within the water sector, is currently seeking a dedicated Regional Pump Engineer to join their team in Cumbria. This permanent role involves servicing and maintaining pumps, hoses, and generators across various sites within the region. Key Responsibilities: Servicing and maintaining pumps, hoses, and generators to the highest standards Reducing backlogs of non-RFH equipment at depots, including major repairs and refurbishments Ensuring servicing is up to date both on-site and at the depot Travelling to multiple sites, with travel time accounted for except for the first and last 30 minutes of the day Diagnosing faults and performing repairs on the GAP fleet, both on and off-site Maintaining comprehensive service records and checking equipment Adhering to safe working practices and wearing appropriate PPE Abiding by customer Health & Safety rules while on-site Job Requirements: Experience in mechanical and electrical engineering within the water sector Relevant pump qualification or extensive experience as a pump engineer CITB/NVQ qualification is preferable Possession of a valid driving licence Strong problem-solving skills and above-average fitting abilities Flexible attitude to adapt to the changing needs of the region Responsibility for keeping the workshop and provided vehicle clean and organised Benefits: Competitive salary with bi-annual bonuses 42.5 hour working week, Monday to Friday Overtime pay for call outs (minimum 4 hours) Professional development and training opportunities Supportive and collaborative work environment If you are an experienced Pump Engineer looking to advance your career in the water sector, we would love to hear from you.
