Teach Now is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Harrow for a Religious Education Teacher to join their Humanities department on a part-time, temporary basis starting ASAP.
This diverse and forward-thinking school places a strong emphasis on character education, mutual respect, and spiritual, moral, social, and cultural development. As a Religious Education Teacher, you will play a vital role in helping students develop critical thinking skills, ethical awareness, and a deeper understanding of world religions and philosophies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Teach Religious Education across KS3–KS5, adapting lessons to suit varying learner needs
• Create engaging, thought-provoking, and inclusive lesson plans
• Foster respectful discussion and promote values of tolerance and understanding
• Contribute to the wider life of the school, including assemblies and enrichment activities
The ideal candidate will have:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching experience
• Strong subject knowledge and confidence teaching RE at secondary level
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• A genuine passion for the subject and ability to inspire young minds
