Main duties of the job
As an Activities Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning and implementing engaging activities that cater to the diverse interests, abilities, and cultural backgrounds of our residents. You will work closely with the Home Manager and the wider care team to create a vibrant and inclusive community where residents can maintain their hobbies, try new activities, and enjoy quality time with others. Your role will involve budgeting for entertainment, materials, and outings, as well as actively participating in and accompanying residents on offsite activities. You will demonstrate a caring nature, flexibility, and an outgoing personality to ensure our residents feel valued, respected, and able to lead fulfilling lives.

We now seek an Activities Coordinator who thrives on making a real and positive difference in the lives of older people.
Working collaboratively with the Home Manager and the wider community teams, you will help engage residents to socialize within the home. This includes providing a variety of activities that cater to all tastes, abilities, and cultures, ensuring that you promote diversity and inclusion at all stages. You will plan and initiate individual programs, encouraging residents to maintain pre-existing hobbies and try new activities. By supporting and encouraging colleagues, relatives, and friends to participate in activities with residents, you will enable additional stimulation and promote socializing to enrich our residents' lives. Through willingly accompanying residents to offsite activities, you will go above and beyond for them.
In assisting with innovative fundraising initiatives and budgeting for entertainment, materials, and outings, you will enjoy thinking creatively about ways to raise additional funds to support our residents' activities. You will help to ensure that you and your colleagues create a supportive, caring environment and undertake all duties in a way that provides a secure atmosphere in which our residents are valued and respected.
