Position:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Pharmacy Support Worker Team Leader based in East Ayrshire.
What you will do:
Lead a team of pharmacy support workers who provide a pharmaceutical service to care homes, care at home, and GP practices across Ayrshire & Arran that minimizes harm, waste, and variation, improving the quality of medicines management, reducing waste, and delivering medicine efficiencies in all care settings.
This is a new role, providing scope for an experienced pharmacy support worker to evolve the role and develop a team to support the delivery of pharmacy services.
Note: There is an option for this post to be an Annex 21, meaning you would receive 75% of the salary until the management qualification required is completed. This qualification will be undertaken at college over a 12-week period.
You will work with pharmacy technicians and pharmacists, considering work plans and practice placements for the pharmacy support workers.
Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:
* Ability to operate computer systems
* Excellent organisational skills
* Approachable and adaptable to frequent change
* Able to work on own initiative, prioritise work and meet deadlines
Hours:
37 hours per week.
Driving Licence/Car Ownership:
A car licence/car ownership is essential to this role.
