Working as part of our building services team, on our healthcare portfolio, we are now looking for an enthusiastic Apprentice Fabric Technician to join our 2025 development programme and help us shape the future at The Royal London Hospital and St Bartholomew’s Hospital.
What you'll do:
1. Learn how to deliver planned preventative maintenance and undertake statutory compliance tasks.
2. Learn how to deliver reactive works investigations and repairs on fabric, fixtures and fittings.
3. Undertake planned preventative maintenance inspections across site to ensure client and public safety and satisfaction.
4. Understand the value of excellent customer service.
5. You will be on your feet most of the day and you will be using tools to carry out maintenance tasks.
6. Due to the nature of the facility, you will be required to undergo a DBS check.
What you'll bring to the role:
1. You will ideally hold a Level 2 qualification in Maths and English (GCSE or equivalent, grade 4 to 9) for us to enrol you on a Level 2 apprenticeship; however, please feel free to apply if you do not meet this criteria.
2. You will have a genuine interest in starting your career in hands-on facilities management.
3. The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail and will be able to work collaboratively with others.
4. You should enjoy working with people and within a busy hospital environment.
5. Good problem-solving skills.
6. Enthusiastic to learn and pro-active approach to work.

What qualification will you be studying towards?
Through day release to college or on site, we will provide support and funding to achieve a Level 2 Property Maintenance qualification.
