Job Description
The Severnside, Bristol plant is part of our CHEP UK network, processing 5 million pallets per year and employing 120 staff. We are looking for a Continuous Improvement Lead to join our Site Leadership Team and help shape our journey from Good to Great.
The Plant CI Lead will drive the continuous improvement initiatives within the Severnside plant. Responsibilities include developing the site roadmap to build CI capability and culture aligned with the Global Supply Chain Excellence guidelines, leading and mentoring CI initiatives, and maintaining a pipeline of projects in line with company strategies. A key focus is on developing and supporting 5S practices and champions across the network.
The role also involves training, coaching, and mentoring employees on CI methods and tools, monitoring KPIs and metrics related to 5S & CI, and reporting progress.
Key Skills and Experience
* Experience as a Continuous Improvement Lead working with cross-functional teams to implement change.
* Six Sigma Green Belt or similar qualification is desirable.
* At least 3 years of management experience in supply chain disciplines such as logistics, operations, planning, or manufacturing.
* Experience with 5S, LEAN, and Six Sigma processes to deliver solutions.
* Proven track record of implementing projects in a manufacturing environment.
* Ability to deliver training across a site effectively.
* Capability to shape site strategy at management level and drive hands-on change on the shop floor.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and other business software like SAP, Minitab; data analysis skills are desirable.
* Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
Preferred Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree and 1-3 years of relevant work experience.
