We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Generator Diagnostics Technician or Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to work on large-scale generator systems, diagnosing and resolving performance and reliability issues. You will collaborate with engineering teams, perform diagnostic inspections, and provide technical solutions to ensure the uninterrupted operation of our global clients' energy systems. Location: Field based (UK overseas) Key Responsibilities: Perform diagnostics including inspections / tests and troubleshooting for generator systems, identifying root causes of failures and performance conformity. Work to established safety document systems and follow FME rules. Develop and implement diagnostic tools, processes, and software to optimize generator performance. Perform off-line diagnostic measurements of all generator components within planned outages including High voltage testing both AC & DC. Perform robotic inspections by way of internal developed systems (DIRIS & MAGIC) Analyze data from online monitoring systems to provide actionable insights and recommendations. Support field operations teams with technical expertise during installation, maintenance, and emergency repairs. Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and development teams to address system issues and improve generator reliability. Create detailed technical reports and documentation for clients and internal stakeholders. Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in generator diagnostics and energy systems. Qualifications: Minimum HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Proven experience in the power generation industry, power systems, or similar fields (all experience levels considered). Strong understanding of electrical machines, power generation systems, and fault analysis. Proficiency in diagnostic tools, software, and data analysis techniques. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly. Willingness to travel to client sites as needed both in the UK and overseas. Preferred Skills: Experience with large-scale generator systems (e.g., exciter systems, auxiliary systems). Familiarity with condition monitoring and predictive maintenance methodologies. Knowledge of regulatory standards in power generation and energy systems. ADZN1_UKTJ
