Job title: Assistant Operations Manager We are looki ng for an Assistant Operations Manager. You will lead your team to deliver community events, support our wellbeing strategy onsite as well as delivering our sales management programme for 24/25, along with working with the team to ensure the building is safe and compliant.You will inspire your team members and manage ongoing relationships with university partners, ultimately helping to deliver and enhance the best possible living experience for our residents. You’ll be the subject expert in all things related to the day to day running of our buildings, ensuring that all team members are able to deliver the best experience for residents. Understand your team, what motivates and drives them to ensure we sell out our buildings, and that they are safe and compliant. Work with our centre of excellence to know and understand how to deal with queries from Finance, People, Health and Safety, Marketing and Procurement. COLLABORATE Work closely with the wider team: our people are great and you can be part of that You will work particularly closely with various business units and operational teams to help assist with the running of the building, ensuring that we deliver the best customer experience. Psst… there are some challenges too Managing the Property in the Operations Managers absence- this might sound like fun to some, but its quite a bit of responsibility. You’ll need to make sure that the team and the residents are supported during this time. Including the rare emergency call outs that happen from time to time. Summer Turnaround- This is when our residents leave us and it’s the busiest time in our calendar. It is a BIG challenge, but not insurmountable; the key is organisation, great relationship management skills and ensuring you have a clear plan with contingencies. Within… 1 month You will be starting to understand the culture and values of Student Roost. You will work closely with team members to understand Student Roost processes and how your role will support them to deliver the best resident experience. You’ll take time to understand our demographics and how our properties shape the university landscape. 3 months You will know the building from top to bottom, ensuring that we maintain it to the highest standard and that we are compliant in all areas. You will have built a strong relationship with your team, who deliver the highest standards. You will be getting involved in mini-projects supporting with debt, sales and the lead-up to summer turnaround. You will start to work with stakeholders, third party contractors and universities, championing the needs of customers and leading by example. 6 months You will be well underway to being settled. You’ll be working closely with our people and customers to ensure that everyone is working and living in a fun, safe and friendly environment. You’ll support our team members with rebooking, sales, events, compliance, safety and welfare, and the summer turnaround.
