We are looking for Registered Mental Health Nurses to join our Older Adults Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) based in the South of Oxfordshire. We are recruiting into two posts, one full time and one part time, with consideration for flexible working. We are a friendly, supportive and proactive team with a culture of high standards of care and any successful applicant will need to be committed to maintaining this. The team works closely with a wide range of internal and external partner's including GPs, district nursing, therapy services, ambulatory care, social care and physical and mental health inpatient providers. We aim to deliver well-coordinated patient care and to share our respective skills and knowledge with one another. Our team covers a wide geographical area bordering Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Wiltshire and so is ideally placed for staff commuting from Swindon, Reading and Aylesbury. Main duties of the job Working as part of our multi-disciplinary team you will be expected to offer assessments and interventions to our patient group of older adults with mental health needs. You will be Key Worker for a caseload of patients with a variety of mental health conditions both functional and organic as well as supporting our duty and triage function. The MDT is made up of Medical, Nursing, Occupational Therapy and Psychology colleagues and we highly regard one another's professional background and contribution to the care of our patients. We view supervision as fundamental to the functioning of the team both clinically and in terms of the well being of our staff. You will need to be organised, flexible and committed to delivering the highest possible care to our client group. Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as good lT skills are essential. Ideally you will have experience of working in older adult mental health services and understand the challenges that working with this client group brings.
