We’re looking to expand our team of dedicated volunteers. If you're enthusiastic, self-motivated, and enjoy meeting new people, we’d love for you to help us build relationships with local businesses. As a Collection Can Coordinator, you’ll ask businesses to display our collection cans and support our fundraising efforts. We’re also seeking occasional volunteers to assist with our Supermarket Collection Days—helping us collect donations and raise awareness for Isabel Hospice. What you’ll be doing: As a Collection Can Coordinator, you'll: Identify local shops and businesses willing to display our collection cans Gain permission from business owners to place the cans Replace the cans when they’re full and ensure the funds are safely collected Provide businesses with a certificate acknowledging how much they've raised As a supermarket collection can volunteer, you’ll: Help collect donations at a local supermarket for just 2-hour shifts Represent Isabel Hospice and talk to existing and potential supporters Volunteer a couple of times a year – no long-term commitment required Your Skills and Abilities: Enthusiasm and reliability Good organisational skills Good local knowledge with the ability to network and identify opportunities for can placement in your area What’s in it for you? We ask that our volunteers are: At least 18 years old Live within an easy commute to the area Interested in volunteering for at least 6 months for at least 3 hours per week All volunteers are assessed individually for the volunteer roles they are applying for.
