We are seeking an ambitious, highly motivated Chemistry or Materials Science professional to join our team in a technical sales role based in Tamworth!
The successful candidate will be required to develop fruitful relationships with customers and suppliers via phone calls, emails, and face-to-face visits.
The role will involve significant UK travel as well as some international travel and comes with a company car.
Responsibilities
The role will involve:
1. Account management – maintaining and developing strong relationships with our existing customers, primarily in the field of polymers (thermoplastics, rubber, thermosets, composites).
2. Source new sales opportunities through responding to and qualifying inbound leads.
3. Identify new business opportunities through prospecting and market research.
4. As part of the wider marketing strategy and training, produce engaging technical articles and multimedia on a range of topics.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
1. A 2:1 MSc or higher in Chemistry or related field, or equivalent industrial experience.
2. Commercial experience beneficial but not required; we welcome applicants seeking to transition from a lab-based role into sales.
3. A highly curious personality with natural problem-solving skills.
4. Ability to work independently with a self-starter attitude.
5. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
6. Full UK driving licence.
